In the Middle of Nowhere

We all know where we have been, since that cannot be changed. Some say that they know where they are going, with their lives all mapped out before them. But is that really ever true? Shit changes, that is just a fact.

There may be some parallel universe somewhere in which people are able to travel in the 4th dimension of time, but for now we are trapped in time with no way forward or back, except to wait or reminisce. Probably explains our wistful/nostalgic conundrum.

There is a field of mathematics called “Chaos Theory” that can be summed up by what is called the “butterfly effect”. What the hell is that?, you innocently ask.

The butterfly effect describes how a small change in one state of a deterministic nonlinear system can result in large differences in a later state, e.g. a butterfly flapping its wings in Brazil can cause a tornado in Texas.

I bring this up, because sometimes you have no control over the circumstances or behavior of some other system will affect your system. I mean, who knows? A bull farting in Venezuela may impact your next flight to Las Vegas or your next job promotion.

I said all that to say this … we are all stuck in the middle of nowhere on a path to who the hell knows where.
