Way back in 1975 I was just entering my senior year in high school when I heard the album Born to Run on a local college radio station named WRPI. I thought I had just discovered a new secret amazing musical act that no one else knew about. Turns out I wuz wrong.
As time passed during the fall of 1975 I became a Springsteen evangelist, singing the praises of this amazing, angst filled vinyl disk. To this day, it still brings a tear to my eye when I stream it over one of the many streaming services I use. The most amazing thing about this album is that you can create your own story from one or more of the songs, because there’s something in there for everyone.
Butyanowut? No Boss album since or before that one ever really did it for me. I don’t know whether it was the joy of discovery or, at least in my opinion, that no work since that one has hit closer to home for me.
