So tonight I gots to thinking about how I’ll be remembered when the end of my days has been reached. Just so happened that an episode of Two and a Half Men was streaming away on the tube, and this exact topic was being discussed. Alan was quoting the Talmud with words to the effect that our worth is measured by our good deeds. Although I don’t think that is what the Talmud teaches, I thought it was a good starting point. On top of that, I guess I don’t feel that Charlie or Alan can be thought of as sterling examples of human worth.
So off I went to Google and its AI generated answers to all of the worlds problems. So I asks the question of my good old Google buddy and get the lightbulb over my head answer of.
“The true worth of a man is measured by his character, integrity, and how he treats others, especially in times of challenge and hardship, rather than by external factors like wealth or status. His motivations, the principles he lives by, his courage, and his compassion for others are all key indicators of his true value.”
Which quickly led me to start measuring a certain individual, who seems to be in the news 24×7, against these sterling qualities. So based on these pretty quantitative measurements, I can conclude that the true worth of the aforementioned individual is an infinitesimally small number, approaching to, but not quite zero.
I’m happy to announce that, after watching the 6 o’clock news tonight, that conclusion has not changed.
